“We loved it here –in our special oasis! Many thanks to Ash for his jet-boating skills! Also to Javier for such a successful fishing trip! The chef is fantastic and the staff is so friendly that we feel like they’re family.
We loved the wild strawberries we found and the other surprises that were out there waiting for us. We can’t wait to come back.
Thank you so much!”

"I just came back from a one week stay at La Paloma, and it was my first look at the natural beauty of Patagonia. Fantastic, breath-taking scenery captures your mind from the instant you embark on the 10 minute boat ride to the lodge. A warm welcome follows in the main Lodge with a roaring fireplace in the spacious living room, and where the friendly staff serves delicious local delicatessens with imported beers or a fine selection of Chilean and Argentinean wines. From every single room, extra wide windows
will prompt you to fill your camera with sensational shots of glaciers, forests, lake views and rock cliffs.
Soon it’s dinner time, with excellent international cuisine and animated talks of the next day’s possibilities. Will it be fly-fishing in one of the four interconnected pristine lakes fed by crystal clear glacier water –you can see the lake trout 10 feet down! Or will it be hiking in one of the numerous trails to a high vantage point above the snow line, where the panorama becomes simply astounding. If you are in a hurry to experience deep canyons, valley views and have the stamina for mountain biking, well, a network of world-class single track trails will keep you busy for days without covering the same ground twice.
After relaxing by the fire in good company, first class accommodation awaits you, complete with a glowing fire, dream inducing duvets and pillows, piles of sheet-size towels and, oh! I almost forgot, bed side chocolates!
Make the trip, enjoy the experience, and breathe slowly as you rise above the valley floor to an unforgettable experience.”

“Our family enjoyed an unforgettable stay at Dos Lagos Lodge in February 2010.
In spite of being located in a wilderness area the lodge has every modern convenience and its architecture and decor are in complete harmony with its surroundings. The rooms are large and very comfortable, and allowed us to relax from our “modern world” routine. There was something for everyone at the lodge: be it sit around the fireplace deep in conversation, or watching a favourite movie on the satellite TV, or playing cards, dominos or other board games. The food was delicious and delighted us with traditional Patagonian flavors –anything we wanted was there.
The views over La Paloma lake from the lodge are spectacular and there is a small beach by the lodge where we would go sunbathe every day and swim in the pure and transparent waters; in the afternoons we would go hike or fish in any of the lakes close by and upon returning to the lodge we would soak in the hot tub under ancient trees and a starry sky that made us thank God that we could enjoy this special place.
We fell totally in love with the landscapes and the area! We made several boat excursions to all the lakes, and enjoyed a scrumptious picnic and bathing in the Azul with all the children. We discovered wonderful waterfalls and saw the majestic Cerro Castillo with its snowy peaks. The children were fascinated by the eagles, condors, owls, huemuls and foxes, and especially by the fishing –we had never before experienced such an abundance of trout and salmon. And hiking along the challenging mountain-bike tracks around the lodge afforded incredible views –we can well imagine that this must be a unique destination for mountain-bike enthusiasts.
The family as a whole would like to thank all the staff who took such good care of us and shared their friendship and their love of this special place. They made this an unforgettable vacation for us, in the most beautiful and pleasant place in Patagonia.”

“Crossing the lake upon arrival, I was stunned by the deep turquoise colour of the waters and the sheer rocky cliffs. The open grasslands at each end of the lakes are also delightful; I was impressed by the stunning Balboa waterfall and those hard to find mountain bike trails.
The lodge is remarkably comfortable and pleasant - I loved the quality of the beds after a long day in the mountains - and the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating.
Proximity to Coyhaique and the airport are definite important assets, while not impacting the privacy of the lodge at all.

“The trails here at Paloma have left me grasping for superlatives. Descending highlights include Flow Valley, Super Cougar and High Line. From epic berms to rival Whistler’s A-line (without the braking bumps) to rocky and rooty technical gnarl to rival the best that the Canterbury high country has to offer. All with the backdrop of snow clad Andes which have a rugged beauty that is difficult to describe. An occasional lunchtime visitor is the Andean Condor, keenly observing the humans carving trails in his territory”

“There are mountain bike trails built at Lago the Lake Paloma section that rival the greatest trails in the world. Specifically designed for mountain bikers by mountain bikers, these trails will put a big grin on every rider’s face. The swooping berms and jumps in Flow Valley, drifting corners on Death Cookies and rocky rooty technical goodness of the upper Turbio valley trails are really magic. This area of Chile is blessed with incredible volcanic soils that soak up moisture and produce an unrivalled surface for mountain biking that will have riders coming back for more.”

"Located on the shore of Lago Paloma in Chile's Patagonia region, Dos Lagos Lodge is one of the true destination gems of South America. The scenery is breathtaking with crystal clear lakes and towering mountain peaks. Whether your interest is in fishing, hiking, mountain biking or just relaxing by the fire on a brisk evening, Dos Lagos has it all. The food is exceptional and the staff is courteous and professional. The accommodations are exceptionally comfortable offering every convenience yet maintaining a rustic atmosphere. Though secluded, it is located a mere 45 minutes by car and boat from Balmaceda airport. I would highly recommend Dos Lagos Lodge as a unique getaway, and I look forward to my next visit"
